PALM BEACH, Fla., July 20 (UPI) -- A Florida high-end fashion company is selling $295 custom designed women's purses that conceal handguns for a quick draw. Patricia Plunkett, vice president of Philip Clements Group LLC, said the idea arose from her own frustration with carrying her gun. Holsters and a shoulder harness didn't work with her wardrobe, so she and designer Philip Clements collaborated on the Patricia Day Bag, the Palm Beach (Fla.) Post reported. Plunkett said sales have been brisk and a second bag is being designed with similar materials and Spanish workmanship. While discreet zippers allow for drawing from either the left or the right side of the bag, Plunkett said in some situations, there wouldn't be time for a draw. "You are just going to pull the trigger and ruin the handbag," she told the newspaper.
