BOSSES at a piggery part-owned by Immigration Minister Amanda Vanstone were consulting lawyers last night after fresh allegations of animal cruelty were broadcast on television. Channel 7's Today Tonight program said a police investigation had been launched today amid new claims of animal cruelty. It followed an RSPCA inspection last week which cleared Wasleys piggery, north of Adelaide, of allegations it had breached industry guidelines. Animal Liberation activists alleged the piggery, which houses 30,000 animals, was keeping them in cramped conditions. Those claims were denied tonight by Ian Parish, chairman of piggery owner Australian Pork Farms Group Limited. .
