LAWYERS representing incarcerated Jamaat al Muslimeen leader Imam Yasin Abu Bakr intend to make a third application before the High Court tomorrow to get their client out on bail pending his trial on charges of promoting a terrorist act, sedition and inciting others to commit violence. The bail application was filed in the Criminal Registry at the Hall of Justice hours after Abu Bakr had appeared before Justice Herbert Volney in the Port of Spain First Criminal Court on an unrelated charge of conspiring to murder two expelled members of his mosque. Director of Public Prosecutions Geoffrey Henderson appeared for the State and Celeste Jules appeared for Abu Bakr during yesterday's closed-door hearing. The Express understands that his lawyers intend to raise their client's ailing health as part of their basis in seeking to have him released on bail.
