DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- A former Quaker minister convicted of swindling investors out of millions of dollars was sentenced to two years in prison Friday for violating his supervised release.Scott Hinkley, 57, was arrested in May on the Texas-Mexico border after evading authorities for almost two years. He had served 47 months in prison for stealing about $5.5 million from housing investors but got an early supervised release in March 2004.Hinkley missed an appointment with his parole officer four months later and was not seen until he surrendered in Laredo, Texas.Judge Ronald Longstaff ordered Hinkley back to prison and added one year of supervised release after his term ends. Longstaff also reimposed more than $4.2 million in restitution and required Hinkley to serve almost 500 hours of community service.
