London, Aug 19 (ANI): With his divorce from estranged wife Heather Mills turning increasingly bitter, 'Beatles' legend Sir Paul McCartney has been left a 'confused, lonely and heartbroken' man. A friend of McCartney, who is currently holidaying in the Hamptons in the US, revealed that though the spilt from Mills had not left the singer 'angry or bitter', it had had a worse effect by leaving him 'confused and lonely'. "Paul has been left heartbroken by everything that has happened. He is not angry or bitter or full of rage. It's much, much sadder than that. He is upset, confused and lonely," the Mirror quoted the pal, as saying. The friend added that McCartney was also upset with the very public turn his divorce had taken, for he had always wanted it to be concluded with the three D's - 'dignity, diplomacy and discretion'.
