RANCHO MIRAGE -- The governing boards of the Palm Springs Desert Resorts Convention and Visitors Authority appointed two new local business people to three-year terms on its Hospitality Industry and Business Council. They are: Karen Sausman, president and chief executive of The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens, and Gary Cardiff, owner and chief executive of Cardiff Limousine and Transportation. Women Leaders Forum expands board INDIAN WELLS -- The Women Leaders Forum of the Coachella Valley, a group that supports women in business, academia, government and the not-for-profit sectors, recently expanded its board of directors by appointing Denise DuBarry Hay, Eva Guenther-James and Barbara Stenning to its seven-member board. DuBarry is co-founder and vice chairman of Thane International and president of Palm Springs Women in Film & Television.
