HALLS made of concrete and lined with metal were apparently not enough to stop thieves from getting into the vault of an Alor Star pawn shop. When the shop's co-owner, Mr Tan Kui Hian, arrived to open for business on Saturday, all he found in the shop's strong room was a perfect hole in the wall. The room's contents - gold bracelets, chains and gems worth an estimated RM3 million ($1.3m) - were missing, reported the New Straits Times. .
