From farm boy, to soldier, to attorney, to statesman, and now blueberry farmer, Henson Barnes is a man whose achievements over a lifetime set him apart as someone special. Throughout his life of accomplishments he has never forgotten his roots, and since returning to his native county nine years ago, he has made numerous contributions to the betterment of the community. Born into a large family Born the third child in a family of eleven children-six boys and five girls-Barnes grew up with a full understanding of what it means to do a day's work. That experience, he says, has served him well over the years. His accomplishments and seemingly boundless energy are testimony to the lessons he learned in those years.
