A preliminary hearing for a Reno man charged with killing his estranged wife and shooting the judge handling their divorce has been postponed until August 30th. Lawyers say the delay will give Clark County prosecutors who took over the prosecution of Darren Mack more time to review documents. The southern Nevada prosecutors assumed the case after Washoe County District Attorney Dick Gammick recused his office because of Gammick's longtime friendship with Mack and his involvement in Mack's surrender. Mack is charged with killing his estranged wife, Charla, on July 12th and with attempted murder in the sniper-style shooting that same morning of Washoe District Family Court Judge Chuck Weller. Mack surrendered 11 days later in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
