One of Northeast Ohio's largest high-tech firms is getting bigger. Hyland Software Inc. of Westlake has acquired Matrix Imaging of Bloomfield, Mich. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Matrix, a systems integrator that specializes in content management technology, has been a Hyland partner since 1998, working with the firm's OnBase program. Because of Matrix's contacts in the higher education market, Hyland President and Chief Executive A.J. Hyland said the acquisition should fuel his company's growth in that segment. Matrix's Michigan office will become home to Hyland's higher education services division.
