Upon graduation from law school, Doug practiced law for the next 21 years at the Law Offices of Gerald A. Schwartz, one of the leading personal injury firms in Virginia. He progressed to become the firm\'s primary trial attorney and later, equity partner. Over the years, Doug directed the settlement of thousands of personal injury cases and litigated many hundreds of such cases. He has attended and asked to have been a speaker at multiple continuing legal education seminars in Virginia.

Doug is licensed to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia. He has been a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association for 25 years. Other than being happily married for 28 years and being the father of a 23 year old daughter and a 21 year old son, Doug\'s proudest accomplishment is not just being a lawyer, it is being a trial lawyer.
