Attorney Benjamin B. de Forest has been an attorney for thirty years. Ben has practiced with large estate planning and elder law firms in Akron and Canton. His experience includes estate planning for both small and multi-million dollar estates encompassing gift and estate tax planning, charitable gift planning, trust administration, credit-shelter trusts, irrevocable insurance trusts, family limited partnerships, charitable trusts, personal residence trusts, and private and public foundations; complete probate administration, will contests, and declaratory judgment actions. He has also drafted and adminstered pension and profit sharing plans, and served as a bank trust officer. Over the past twenty years, Attorney de Forest has focused primarily in the area of Elder Law and long-term care planning.

Mr. de Forest graduated from Ohio Northern University Law School and has been a licensed attorney in the state of Ohio since 1984, and has been a resident of northeast Ohio since 1983. Mr. de Forest is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Stark County Bar Association. He serves as a member of the Elder Law Committee for both the State and County Bar Associations. In addition, Mr. de Forest is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).
