Driscoll William M

Massachusetts Appeals Attorney
Appellate Advocacy

William M. Driscoll is a Massachusetts appellate lawyer who devotes his statewide practice to appellate advocacy. Decisions of the trial court create dissatisfied litigants. Do you wish to challenge or defend the decision of the trial court?

Are you considering an appeal?

The Law Office of William M. Driscoll is an appellate practice providing representation to clients throughout Massachusetts -- regardless of whether they won or lost at trial. Your appeal is based upon the decision of the trial court, it is not a second trial. Therefore, much of our communication can be accomplished via telephone, electronic or postal mail. This saves you time and money. When necessary, convenient meeting locations are arranged with clients.

Do you seek to refer an appellate matter?

Attorney Driscoll welcomes referrals from trial counsel. Appellate advocacy and procedure differ dramatically from that of the trial court. Trial lawyers who do not enjoy or are too busy to perform the detailed and time consuming research and writing necessary often chose to refer appellate matters. This is understandable. As an appeals attorney, little if any time is available for the day-to-day needs of trial practice.

Facing a significant legal research or writing project?

Attorney Driscoll utilizes his appellate skills in assisting trial counsel with significant legal research and writing projects (e.g., memoranda of law, summary judgment and trial motions). He shares the focus of trial counsel, an eye to winning at trial -- and having those wins be upheld on appeal. His efforts permit trial counsel to pursue other pressing matters of their trial practice.
